Privacy Policy

1 Introduction

1.1.1 Here at Accountables we take data privacy very seriously. We believe you have the right to know exactly what information we collect from you, and how and why we collect it. This Privacy Policy is meant to tell you just that, in as transparent and simple a manner as is possible.

1.2 You should read this Privacy Policy very carefully. It will help you make an informed choice as to whether you want to share such information in the first place, and if yes, to what extent.

2 Collection of information and your options

2.1 Overview: This section contains details about the information we collect such as the method, purpose, and legal basis of the information collection. Further, it also tells you how you can control it. There are overall three ways in which we collect information, namely
(a) when you simply browse our website and our server creates automatic logs,
(b)when you voluntarily provide information during the course of signing-up and using the contact us form, and
(c)when you as a registered user log in to our website and provide us information that is necessary for the completion of professional services that you order from us.

2.2 The specific details of the information that you provide to us or our third-party service providers while using our website are as follows:

2.3 Server Logs: Each time you use our website, including when you casually browse our website without signing up or logging in or using the “Contact Us form,” your browser transmits to our server certain data that is added to what are widely known as “server logs” or “server log files.” These server log files include data such as your IP address, time of access, amount of data transfer involved, browser information and operating system information. While your IP address can potentially be used to identify you, not only is this difficult from a technical standpoint, but we do not process the raw, unfiltered server logs for this purpose. However, we may have to make an exception if such processing is deemed absolutely necessary from a security standpoint – for instance, during an investigation into a cyber-attack.

2.4 These server logs are hosted on a server in USA that belongs to our web hosting provider GoDaddy. They are maintained as they provide important statistics that are widely considered to be of great technical value, especially in any investigation of malicious activity. We, therefore, need them for our legitimate technical and cyber-security interests.

2.5 Cookies: We use cookies on our website, which are small files that are stored on your computer either for a single session or for a longer duration or permanently and help
our website and third-party services remember important information about you. Cookies work on their own and do not need any intervention on your part.

2.6 When you browse our website, we inform you about our use of cookies and ask for your consent for such use. It is up to you to give or withhold such consent in context of all or any type of cookies. If you change your mind, you can change these settings at any time later. But please note disabling them may render some features of our website inaccessible or unusable.

2.7 Here is a brief description of the cookies we use and the purpose they serve:
